Talking with Mr. PinocchioHi y’all! So, you just clicked through an interview with the one and only, Pinocchio! I’m excited to be chatting with such an iconic character, and I’m going to thank you, Pinocchio, for taking your time to chat with my blog, The Lit Writing Lab. Now, just so you readers know, PS will be me (Pink Smoothie). PS: How did it feel, Mr. Pinocchio, to be 78 years old on February 7? Answer: Well, it does feel tiring! (laughs) I’m really blessed that the Blue Fairy decided to make me human and let me live my life peacefully. But, a lot has changed since then. People are now addicted to electronical apparatuses. PS: Yes, it’s been so long since the Walt Disney Movie launched back in the 1940s, starring you, of course! I see that you learned not to lie since you became human. Is that true? Answer: Why, yes, Ms. Smoothie! I’ve learned a lot since that, and I learned it the bad way, not the good day. My nose grew and grew, every time I lied, it grew even more. One day, it seemed like it was 8 inches long! PS: (agrees) I think that this movie has brought such a positive impact and moral towards everyone; including parents. They need to teach their children not to lie. What did lying teach you? Answer: It taught me that if you lie, it’ll bring you a lot of consequences. Lying is wrong – and even if you tell your friends or family a little lie, you’ll have to pay for the consequences. PS: What do you want to tell all my blog readers that are probably reading this right now? Answer: I want to say that, don’t lie to fit in. Don’t lie, at all. Maybe, just an occasional lie might escape your mouth, and that’s okay. We all lie – but don’t do it frequently, or you might be in great trouble after. PS: That’s true, Mr. Pinocchio! Hm, how is your loyal, small friend doing? Answer: Oh, Jiminy? He’s got grandchildren, now! We see each other frequently, and we usually go and watch the old movie together and remember when we were young. PS: I’m glad to hear it! Hm, you were born 78 years ago. Has any… woman caught your eye? Someone we don’t know about? Answer: Erm, well, I had a crush on the Evil Queen, when I was about 20 years old, I just loved her crown, her silky black hair, oh, yeah, I might ask her out. Just kidding! We’re really good friends, even if I just don’t understand her tricks. She says they’re just jokes, but I don't believe her. She sometimes locks me in a room for hours and doesn't even notice that I’m there! I haven’t seen her in months, so I want to have a good chat with her, soon. PS: And what about the Blue Fairy? Do you two contact each other every now and then? Answer: (chuckles nervously) Well, in fact, in a few minutes, she’s going to get mad at me because of this interview, Ms. Smoothie. She thinks that this type of interviews are bad for me, you know. Since I’m old, she says that all this interviewing stuff can give me panic attacks or something. PS: Oh, then you better be off, then. But could you please let me ask one more question? Answer: Sure! PS: What message do you think the Pinocchio movie implies? Answer: I think that it’s being yourself, and not to lie. Lying is horrible – like I mentioned before. Lying and doing sneaky things behind other people’s back is not good, either. PS: Thank you for your time, Mr. Pinocchio! Say hi to Mr. Cricket and Ms. Fairy for me, okay? Answer: No, thank you Ms. Smoothie, for making me enjoy this brief interviewing session. And I’ll make them know (winks). Check out more about Mr. Pinocchio on the Walt Disney Pictures animated movie, Pinocchio! Mr. Pinocchio and the movie might be old, but his soul hasn’t aged a bit! ©2018 Pink Smoothie!
